Finally, summer! Woooooookay I'll stop now. Obviously I had to go out with a (somewhat headache-inducing) bang:

Which is, I guess, somewhat pirate/harlequin/cheesy 70s game show host? Just going back to what I know best: bizarro clashing.
Stocked up on stripes and florals at the thrift store I visited on Monday.... finally, a floral blazer! Granted, it's a little more "Hawaiian" than what's hitting the high street shops lately, buuut it suits its purposes.

This post and the one below show two good distinctions between "types" of dressing: to look good and to play around. What I meant by "style rut" yesterday had less to do with the former -- all I did was throw that great jacket over some latex 'cause I just wanted to look attractive (ain't gonna lie ladies...)
On the other hand, whether people think today's outfit was "good" or not is definitely up in the air, but it involved more thought and experimentation as to what patterns and colors worked and what didn't. I dunno if I succeeded, but at least something came out of a thought process.

I think I blend in with the store pretty well. If I just stood still there, I could possibly be taken for a humanoid clothes rack.

Stripe stripe stripe DIAMOND.
Secondhand floral blazer, red and white striped tank top, striped shorts, Violet & Claire striped blouse, We Love Colors tights, Steve Madden loafers
