In the news...!?

A reporter from the Associated Press recently approached me about an interview for a news article about young fashion bloggers. She asked me a number of questions about why I started the blog, about internet privacy, etc etc. Of course, it's not every day that I get contacted with these kinds of offers through my blog, so I complied enthusiastically.

Little did I know that the article was for the online USA Today!? Of course, it's not directly about me, and judging by the nature of the questions she asked, I figured it was something about youth and internet safety. I mean, compared to the 12-year-old owner of Style Rookie, the other blogger featured in the article, I am positively ancient. In her case, parental concern is probably a much more pressing issue for her than for me, the one of already-legal-age-and-therefore-should-t
At any rate, there was one part of the article that I guess I didn't clarify very well to the reporter: I didn't start cropping my photos because my parents found out about it, I did it from the get-go as a general precaution, regardless of whether my parents found out about the blog or not. Personal safety first, I guess! Though nowadays, pretty much the only reason I still keep it covered is because I'm too lazy to make a good expression for the camera, as at 3 AM I'm generally not too attractive.
Anyways, it was an interesting experience nonetheless, and I'm quite flattered that she approached me, out of all the other zillions of teenage bloggers popping up these days.
Oh, and random post script: I changed up the layout of this blog, because I was getting tired of the old one. This time, featuring my scribble of the DC skyline! Granted, I'm not a particularly patriotic person, but I figured SOMETHING about this blog has to be relevant to its title.
