My own spin at the drop-crotch DIY

I don't know if it's a coincidence, perhaps the CDG for H&M drop-crotch pants have leaked all over the blogosphere. But, after some big guns have had their whirls with drop-crotch pants, here I am with my own attempt.
I actually got the idea not recently, but a couple months ago after seeing Jo from WOTTONCOOL's post on wearing a sweater as pants. I put the thought in the back of my mind, and it wasn't until I saw Camille of childhood flames's pants that I remembered to execute the plan.
Making the conversion was not AS easy as I thought it would be, but it was still easy nonetheless. I got a large black sweatshirt at a thrift store, and cut and sewed along the dotted line as so:

I narrowed the "waistband" and "legs" to fit my figure, and cut off and sewed together the neck hole. I also folded and sewed along the center of the sweatshirt on one side, to make a seam that looked more "pant-like". Here is the result!

Nice and floppy down the front, just like the CDG pants. And so much cheaper too, at $5 for the sweatshirt.
Doing it requires minimal sewing ability (god knows I have none), and it doesn't take long at all. Can't wait to get styling!
